Eight Days of Hope

When I started this blog in September 2016, one of my dreams was that it would be a place of giving to others. Not just me sharing my writing with you, but us as a community giving to a designated ministry that powerfully impacts lives.

The dream became a reality on September 1, 2017.

There will never be pressure or guilt associated with the opportunity to be involved with our designated ministry. It will be strictly between you and the Lord. I will merely present the opportunity. You pray about it and do as the Lord directs you.

Our Designated Ministry

Our designated ministry is Eight Days of Hope.

Eight Days of Hope is a non-profit organization that has successfully restored or rebuilt 5,345 homes following natural disasters since 2005. Volunteers from all 50 states and eleven countries have worked over 1,300,000 hours during the first sixteen rebuilding events alone. In addition, our Rapid Response team has traveled to 26 different communities and has blessed 2,429 families within three days of the disaster! To date, Eight Days of Hope has completed over $50.2 million dollars of work – for free!

Our commitment to local communities is to work with local churches and organizations in meeting physical and spiritual needs.

Our commitment to donors is to use the resources they have given to the fullest potential for the greatest good among those in need.

Our commitment to volunteers is to provide them an opportunity to use their skills and talents to the Glory of God.

Four Ways to Get Involved

First and foremost, you can get involved by committing to pray regularly for Eight Days of Hope.

While you are praying, I encourage you to see if God would have you get involved by volunteering to serve or making a donation to support 8DOH or support one of the full-time missionaries.
